Hide and Seek

Now that the deck flowers are in full bloom I’ve started looking for opportunities to photograph our resident hummingbirds.

The problem is, they don’t always cooperate and pose for me. They are more interesest in harvesting nectar from the flowers and I can’t really blame them. Hummingbirds need to eat more than their weight in food each day to survive.

This evening I was patient, and my waiting paid off. After playing hide-and-seek for quite a while, I was finally able to get a picture of Zippy not hidden behind the flower.
