Two Days of Decompression

Day One

Day Two

Sometimes, when it seems like everything is pressing in on you, you just need to get away and decompress. We did that this week by running to the coast for a couple days.

The first day was a perfect Autumn day on the coast, complete with sunshine and very little wind in the afternoon. It was ideal for strolling on the beach and picking up sand-dollars. And even though there was a fog bank anchored several miles off the coast, the day ended with a golden sunset.

Day two was not quite as nice, weather wise, but still relaxing with a comfort food breakfast followed by another walk on the beach, watching the seabirds and a leisurely latte in a new laid-back coffee house in town. There was no place we had to be and we weren’t in a hurry to get there.

After two days it was finally time to go home again. And the following day we had 1.5 inches of rain. We probably picked the last two nice days of Fall for our escape.

Timing is everything.

Cheers – DJD
