The Deck is Clear and Ready for Takeoff

The last couple weeks in our back yard have been quite transformational. Just a few weeks ago, the buds were only starting to show on the trees. But now all the trees are leafing out.

All around us, there is this Spring-green glow of new growth. And looking out from our deck you can see the various shades of green starting to cover everything and dominating the landscape.

I call this the Spring runway because all this green means the plants are getting ready to take off and soon they’ll be covered with colorful flowers and foliage.

And this will be even more apparent on our deck as all the plants in the pots rise up and produce the flowers that will be attracting the bees and the humming birds and I can’t wait.

Yes, our deck is cleared and ready for takeoff to Spring.
